Job description

Our Client, an International Oil & Gas Operator with a Mega LNG project in Australia is looking for a Senior QC Inspector for a Fabrication Yard in SE Asia, on a yearlong contract position, with option of Rotation or Residential Roster, with first gas expected in 2016.

Senior QC Inspector 





Key Responsibilities include: 

• Ensuring via ongoing monitoring of Welding activities, NDT and FJC processes on site that the URF package Line Pipe Stalking and Multi-Jointing is fabricated and tested in accordance with relevant specifications and referenced codes and standards.

• Key Technical Deliverables

• Participate in pre-inspection meetings at site;

• Monitor material receipt, identification, traceability, storage and preservation processes;

• Monitor dimensional control surveys, review dimensional reports.

• Review and compilation of weekly inspection report, highlighting any areas of concern and look ahead plans;

• Ensure all inspection and testing activities are completed in line with the Approved ITP requirements;

• Assist the URF QC Coordinator in performing compliance audits at site, specifically, welding activities, consumables control, materials identification and traceability, NDT processes and NDT personnel competency and FJC;

• Assist the CSR in providing solutions to Quality, Welding, NDT and FJC issues;

• Monitoring and control of non-conforming products;

• Review Contractor Quality related documentation, i.e.; ITP's, QMP;

• Engage with Site/Package Engineers to ensure all specified requirements are met;

• Overall supervision of site Welding, NDT and FJC Inspectors; 



Key experience and qualification requirements: 

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the application of quality assurance and quality control for oil and gas EPCI Projects;

• Extensive experience in Automatic welding systems and NDT of CRA Lined and Carbon Steel Line pipe to international standards (DNV-OS-F101);

• Extensive experience in the fabrication, installation and commissioning of offshore Pipe Lines and associated subsea facilities;

• Experience in interacting with EPCI Contractors including the implementation of verification processes;

• Experience in the maintenance of Quality Records.

• Diploma or Certificate in engineering discipline or Trade certificate in related field;

• Internal/External Auditor qualifications;

• CSWIP 3.2 or equivalent.

• Proactively adhere to and promote the Client/Company workplace values and behaviors exercising tolerance and respect for diversity.

• Intimate knowledge of oil and gas subsea equipment including, CRA and CS Pipe-lines, Offshore Pipelay and Installation and subsea production systems;

• Intimate knowledge of oil and gas industry Codes and Standards;

• Intimate knowledge of NDT processes, including, AUT, Automatic welding of CS and CRA Lined Line Pipe and fabrication processes;

• Knowledge of Field Joint Coating processes and application of HSS and IMPP;

• Intimate knowledge of internal and external audit processes.
